Kite Because: It runs in the family. My father and I have been kiteboarding for 7 years and he is my inspiration and the reason I started kiting. We began kiteboarding back in the summer of 2000 and have been hooked on it ever since. I always loved kiteboarding for the adrenaline rush and thrill it brings to my everyday life. If it wasn’t for kiteboarding, I would probably go crazy.

Favorite Food: Tex Mex or Sushi depending on the day and my digestion

On my I Pod: I listen to a wide range of music depending on what time of day it is, how I’m feeling, or what I am about to go do. Before Kiteboarding it would probably be something fast like Off Spring or System of a Down. At the end of a good day I enjoy Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, Grateful Dead and some Brazilian music like O’ Rappa and Cabesativa.

Occupation: I have been a professional kiteboarder for 7 years and have spent the last 3 years teaching my Advanced Lesson around the world. I focused my time on developing new visual ads to help my student’s progress in the world of kiteboarding. Now with my sponsors behind me and my new teaching techniques I will continue to hit the hottest kiteboarding spots and teaching kiters new skills.

Why do you like that kite? The new Rev is one of the sickest kites Slingshot has ever made. It has a combination of the pop and drop pull that you get from a Fuel and the extra boost you get from a Turbo Diesel. Now I can take my handle passes, kite loops, and other tricks to a higher level than ever before. Not to forget about ripping up the waves. Why do you like that board? I feel right at home on the 2008 Misfit. It is similar to the 07 version, but with its new solid wood core it has increase flex, load, and rebound. The board works great for any of my freestyle tricks and with its new construction jumps bigger and better then ever.
